Fields dropped 14 points, had three dimes, and picked up 11 rebounds. Fields provided an energetic spark on both ends of the court and his impeccable hustle caught the Bulls off guard. Fields took advantage of the Noah-less Bulls and hustled for three offensive rebounds down low. One included a spectacular and-one tip-in layup off a Ronny Turiaf missed free throw in the second quarter.Fields played 38 minutes, third most of the season (behind the Cleveland and Nuggets game in December). Although it didn't show in the box score Fields lock down defense created problems for the Bulls offense which had 21 turnovers. Fields shot 5-7 from the field and was 2-2 from beyond the arc.
This game was Fields second double double in a row and the rookie continues to lead all rookie guards in rebounding.
The next game for the Knicks is against the streaking Miami Heat, who came off a blow out victory against the two-time defending champion Lakers on Christmas. In the last meeting against the Heat Fields struggled only picking up 5 rebounds, 5 points, and shot just over 28 percent from the field.
